Year end Reflections

Your year-end reflections are due tomorrow. This is not an optional assignment for Team Black. I have attached the assignment sheet for your review.

End of the Year Assignment

Here is a great opportunity to boost your English grade in the final quarter. Write an essay or poem about your years as a student at Amity Middle School. This essay or poem may be selected for inclusion in the “stepping up” ceremony.

Essay

Write about 250 words (one page, double-spaced, typed) about your years as a seventh and eighth grader or about a specific experience you had at Amity Middle School. Topics to consider might include friendships, an activity (sports, music, clubs), academics (books you’ve read, science experiments), a teacher, or a field trip. Make sure to include details and sensory language (visual imagery, taste, touch, smell and sound) to make your piece more colorful. You can include description, dialogue, and figurative language.  Also, remember to think about your audience; picture reading your essay to a crowd of students, parents and teachers at the closing ceremonies! This assignment is worth up to 25 points (a smaller quiz grade).

Poem

Write an “I Remember” poem about your years at Amity Middle School. This assignment is worth up to 20 points (a smaller quiz grade).

Due date for either assignment:

Tuesday, June 3

Good Luck!

About benton19

I'll just say it right off the bat: I LOVE GRAMMAR! All of language study fascinates me, and I am so lucky to be able to share that passion with the great minds of the future. Reading, hiking, baking, adventures, my pets, and my family are the things in life I cannot survive without. When I grow up, I would either like to be too many things to mention here!
